About Christine

As a vocalist and trumpet player, Christine Fawson has always loved performing classic standards from the American Songbook. Her new album SINGS JAZZ (Fall 2018) features some of her favorite jazz standards, with arrangements by pianist Tim Ray. The album features Christine on voice, trumpet and flugelhorn, Tim Ray on piano, David Zinno on bass and Casey Schereuell on drums, with a guest appearance by jazz vocalist David Scott.

Christine was a member of the vocal jazz group, Syncopation from 2002-2013. The group recorded three CDs; A New Dance, Of Blue and Wonderful You which were widely successful both in the United States and Japan. Syncopation was featured at festivals throughout the United States and Japan. The group was featured with the Boston Pops Orchestra at the 2009 4th of July Celebration in Boston.

Christine played trumpet with the DIVA Jazz Orchestra from 2004-2007. She performed with the band at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater, and Lincoln Center in New York City; and with artists such as Anne Hampton Callaway, John Pizzarelli, Maurice Hines and the New York Pops. She played and sang with DIVA in concerts and festivals in Europe and throughout the United States. Most recently Christine has been a featured vocalist with the band.

Christine has been a solo artist and guest lecturer at festivals and concerts around the world. Her travels have taken her throughout the United Staes and to several countries throughout Asia, Europe, Central America, The South Pacific and Australia. In 2009, she was featured in the Mexican premier of Gil Evans’ Porgy and Bess with the Guadalajara Jazz Orchestra. As a freelance trumpet player she has performed with numerous artists, from acts like The Rat Pack to artists such as Adele. She has also done several engagements for corporations such as Disney and Bose.

Christine is a Bach Trumpet artist.

Christine was a member of the brass faculty at Berklee College of Music from 2003-2017. She was a finalist in the 2017 Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Jazz Competition. She is an active performer and an entrepreneur. Currently, she is the Executive Director at Conquer Fear, a Music and Motivation company. She lives in New Mexico with her husband, daughter and cat.
